I’m not sure about you, but the graph below graph scares the shit out of me. It makes what I have been noticing real, and even worse than I thought. My generation is absent. Nova Scotia is in a decline and is losing its appeal, even to its loyal inhabitants. I see entire families leaving. Quality jobs are scarce and the younger age categories are evacuating at an unprecedented rate.

Each of us need to step up and think about how we can contribute to the greater success of Nova Scotia, not only ourselves. I’m not erring on the side of socialism here, I am a capitalist at heart and I believe our region can succeed through this lens.
